Saskatoon Sports Exchange History:

Our Story

The Saskatoon SKATE Exchange opened its doors on 8th street in 1997. Some of you may remember that little shop of 800 square feet by the Dairy Queen. In the spring of 2003, we moved to Millar Avenue, doubling our space to 1500 square feet. Even though it was a positive move, it wasn't long before we needed more space. We expanded there to almost 2500 square feet but by 2015 we needed to go big or go home! We made the decision to take over the space of almost 6000 square feet in the old XS Cargo location at 419 51st Street and have been there ever since! We changed our name to the SASKATOON SPORTS EXCHANGE and have added several new sports to our inventory! We now carry so much more than skates and hockey equipment. People are always surprised when they see the amount of inventory we have, but mostly the variety of sports is what surprises most!
